Default Are google/ebay affiliate schemes profitable

I have a mirror of wikipedia and it generates [very modest] income for
me. It was definitely worthwhile.

I noticed that many sites essentially have ebay mirrors and profit
from people finding their pages via google, and then clicking on the
ebay links that go through some affiliate schemes.

I feel that I could implement this scheme a little better than other
ebay doorway websites.

The question is, would it worth the while financially.

Hi Ignoramus,

It’s funny but your Wiki mirror has surfaced in a discussion in
alt.internet.search-engines few days back:

http://www.1-script.com/forums/Re-Wi...cle15636-1.htm

It may give you a bit of a warm feeling to know that there is at least one
person out there that thinks your site should already turn a nice profit
;-)

Getting back to the topic, I think the eBay mirrors are going to suffer
much from G's duplication filters so there is probably not going to be
much traffic to cash in on any affiliate program let alone eBay's that
pays cents for the visitor's *action*, not even a click.

Yes, that's great.

Thanks for the link.

Duplication is a non issue...

I can take care of it...

You are right though, on payouts vs. their frequency.

Thanks a bunch. We REALLY need more sites like that.
