Default Simple FTP by TomaWeb

Any comments about Simple FTP by TomaWeb.

It's name implies easy use. Anyone know anything about this FTP?

When I was looking, I tried out SmartFTP, CuteFTP, and a couple of
others before settling on LeechFTP. Don't remember the pros and
cons; but there are a couple other names for you to check out to
see what you like best.

Invalid sig delimiter; screws up other people's news clients.

Valid delimiter is hyphen-hyphen-space.

Yes, the space is mandatory.

I agree (Leech) is the best I tried... I tried a few more as well, I have to
be honest I use - Leech, Dreamweaver or for quick and dirty one or two
files, almost ashamed to admit it - Internet Explorer ....

I tried it a while back, didn't like it.

I would suggest either SmartFTP or Filezilla (my personal choice). Both
are free and superior to Simple FTP.

IE? Jeez -- you didn't have to be *that* honest.

I like WS_FTP. Used it for years now. Ever since I found a need for CHMOD.

But it works, its often open and you can just type it in and copy and paste
etc... yes - its limited, it often botches the job on larger jobs, but its
just so quick and easy! Leech is by far the best, but I also tend to use
DW - I used to hate it but had to use it in one work place, it works really
well as long as your local site (test) and the server are pretty much the
same in structure
