How are they irrelevant? What about someone viewing on a huge
resolution in a maximised window?

Thanks for the nice comments and I have ammended the above generator
tage so you can see my normal home page (this needs lots of work but I
aint got time at the moment!)

Yeah I could not agree more... I got a new PC for my birthday about a
week ago and I have a 17 inch LCD screne with a resolution of
1024x768.... So sites that are only made for small resolutions have a
lot of white space around the edges and do not look as they should. The
colour contrast is a lot brighter as well!.
