| Civilians | Hi, Douglas J. Steele schreibselte: > It's not possible to link a table through FTP. Not realy, shure... ....but it looks nearly in such a way. ;-) http://support.novell.com/servlet/fi.../ndrv41862.exe It maps a FTP-source as a drive in Explorer and you're able to link to MDBs there. | Civilians | You may wind up having to write an ASP, PHP, or other front end. Alternatively, you may find replication is what you need. I doubt it though, since replication does not seem to be well supported by MS and seems to be a data accident waiting to happen. If you decide to write an ASP front end, this may get you started in the right direction http://webmonkey.wired.com/webmonkey...tutorial3.html Good luck; Amy "ecyyn" <ecyyn@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news 9954439-DC9F-410E-9A8C-5A2D79199350@microsoft.com...>i am just trying to share the database to people thru the >internet...without > using DAP but a FE. > > thanks. > > "Amy Blankenship" wrote: > >> What are you trying to achieve by this ftp linking? >> >> -Amy >> >> "ecyyn" <ecyyn@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news:7F1C1D78-9A0C-4CB6-B384-8BA8FCCB33CC@microsoft.com... >> > what can i do to host a mdb file besides using ftp? or could you show >> > me >> > where i can find more information on this? many thanks. >> > >> > "Jörg Ackermann" wrote: >> > >> >> Hi, >> >> >> >> Douglas J.
