| Civilians | While not exactly a browser compatibility question... Anyone know how to restore the URL bar keybindings in firefox to the way mozilla / galeon did it? (using X11) I'm used to having ^U (in the URL bar) kill the whole line. BackSpace (In URL bar) actually delete text, NOT go to the last page(s) It's driving me crazy that every time I hit backspace it attempts to load the last 6-7 pages until I finally see what it's doing. ^U is the other one.. I like to clobber the whole line and paste in a new URL (or type it) instead I get a view-source window. Wouldn't mind if there appeared to be other keybindings, but selecting everything and then hitting BackSpace inserts the URL bar into the paste buffer, which of course, mucks things up when I paste it in again.. Dumb questions I know, but hoped maybe these things drove others crazy enough to find a quick way to fix it. I've not reset any key bindings. > It's driving me crazy that every time I hit backspace it attempts to load the > last 6-7 pages until I finally see what it's doing. Here, with cursor in address box: Esc-Del and Esc-BS Both delete the URL and it doesn't go to the clipboard. But look at the Diggler extension. It adds a button next to the address bar that clears it (and another nice little feature). -- Blinky Linux Registered User 297263 Killing All Posts from GG: http://blinkynet.net/comp/uip5.html |

THANKS! Wow, that'll really help. :-) I was almost ready to switch to mozilla. Jamie -- http://www.geniegate.com Custom web programming guhzo_42@lnubb.pbz (rot13) User Management Solutions |
