Default Dedicated Servers

I have a client that wants 10 - 20 GB of web space
Obviously we are talking dedicated servers here so any advice would be
appreciated.

Need prices and specs.

I would require PHP, MySQL and it needs to be relatively simple for me
to administer as have never used a dedicated machine before, only
reseller accounts.

Would prefer it to be UK based and if possible, telephone support.
Thank in advance

That is not necessarily a dedicated server requirement. What kind of
bandwidth and what kind of resource usage (heavy mySQL, etc.) are we
talking?

If you are serious about getting a dedicated server, you should look into a
fully managed solution - since things like security, updates, etc. must be
done regularly to keep the machine running smoothly.

Phone support, and very responsive and competent email support. Not UK-
based, but with many UK customers.

It's going to be a school resource where teachers upload word docs for
1500 pupils to access.
Average document size will be 200K so probably quite a bit of bandwidth
needed.

Thanks Alan but I would prefer a UK host.
It costs too much to phone US for support and believe me, I am well
stupid

Maybe you could convert the files to ASCII and save untold amounts of disk
space and bandwidth and you wont be forcing the pupils to purchase
expensive proprietary software and locking them into a neverending upgrade
cycle.

I can only praise servermatrix.com who I have been with for a while now,
with no complaints.

UK based is hideously expensive for bandwidth. I've never needed
telephone support. Email has been quick enough and good enough for me
on the rare occasions I need it.
