Default Bizarre distractions

Quite a few of us work from home, and with children and the school
holidays I'm sure it's not just me suffering some bizarre distractions
to my working day.

For instance, today my daughter decided to clean an old pair of
sandals she found in the compost, so not only did she use the bathroom
wash basin but also half a tube of my toothpaste to clean them....

Not quite up to Tina's children and the blue mohican incident (which I
hope she wont mind me reminding her of, as a fellow parent I can
emphasise, laugh and cry all at once).

Anyone else having a hard time of the "lovely" summer holidays??

Matt

Whose toothbrush did she use? <g>
(don't know about your daughter, but when my kids use the toothpaste
for anything, they also use the toothbrush :-) )

I personally wouldn't mind if they came home with any haircut in any
colour, but yes, I see what you mean :-)

Actually, it hasn't been so bad. It helps if you allow them stuff
they're not normally allowed, like rearranging the livingroom's
furniture, build a 'tent' from all the dinner chairs and a duvet
cover, have crisps in the middle of the week, allow food and drink in
the 'tent'...

Ahhh...yes. Memories we will look back at when they're grown and laugh.
:-)

Your story reminds me of the time, several years ago, when I was brushing my
teeth and had a strong taste of soap in my mouth. I yelled "Why does my
toothbrush taste like soap?!?!"...to which my 4 year old, at the time,
proudly told me "I was scrubbing the dirt off my socks so you wouldn't be
mad.".

Well done Ponting (man of the match in my opinion), well done the rest
of the lads for holding out for the draw.... see you at Trent Bridge!!

I work at home, my wife works outside the house, so we agreed I would
handle laundry and cooking. A fair deal, no dusting, vacuuming or
bathrooms for me.

Last week my 8 year-old decided that he was going to help Dad with the
laundry. I started a load of whites in hot water, to which he added his
new red t-shirt sometime after I walked away.

You guessed it, today I am wearing pink briefs.

School starts in 8 days.
