Default Buying Frontpage

I have a question. My husband may have to buy Frontpage in the future (he
does not currently have it). He currently has Micrsoft Office Standard
edition 2003. Can he purchase the Frontpage upgrade or does he have to
purchase the full program?

Thanks. Unforunately that's what I thought. He is needing it for our local
American Legion so he can take over the web site. He'll have to see if he
can be reinbursed I suppose.

It's not a HUGE cost - $199'ish.

Unfortunately it's a huge cost for us if we can't get reinbursed. So I have
my fingers crossed.

If your AL chapter has a site, then they should be paying for the software
upfront. He needs to ask the treasurer what is in the budget for misc
purchases for the web. (I belong to a non-profit organization and I have
some money built in for software. I use FP but it's *my* copy, not the
group. They do own the Adobe Acrobat I use. If/when someone else takes over
my job, they get the software.)

Our post does have a site but it's pittiful. I believe the person who used
to do it used his own software. Our post has no budget for web expenses at
this time because the previous person paid out of his own pocket and now
that it's getting moved to another member's computer we won't have to pay
for it at all (something about free bandwith). He is meeting today with the
person whose computer it's going on along with someone else who knows how to
program web sites. This guy said he had the software and would give my
husband a copy. I'm not sure if he meant he was giving him the original
program or a copy of it. I immediately told him if it wasn't an original
disk that he was NOT to take it. That's why I asked if he would qualify for
the upgrade version just in case we have to buy it because it would be
cheaper and they'd be more than likely to reinburse us for it.
Lisa

PS. Do you know anything about Word 2003? I left a post earlier today in
microsoft.public.word. Sure would appreciate any help.

I'm not a strong Wordie but I use it. You are welcome to contact me offline
so we don't "taint" the FP newsgroups.
