| Civilians | Finding myself contact the customer support of a company which I did not sign a sevice agreement with, violates cunsumer rights. I have another preferred newsgroup reader which I pay for as part of my internet service provider package. Google intrudes on my consumer rights and represents illegal and even anticompetitive business aptitudes. Google Groups emposes illegal services on people who did not sign an agreement with them. Google needs to remove all dependencies of newsgroup users from Google's customer services, both for moral and business competitive consumer rights perspectives. |

You posted to a public service on a newserver which had permission to distribute that post. By comparison, its as if you pinned a flyer on a lightpole in your town then got mad because a picture of it appeared in the paper without your permission Now if it had been a "local newsgroup" only meant for use by a limited access group, which many are, then you would have a case. Not against Google but you would against uswest. But you cannot post to a public newsgroup then get mad about where it ends up. Your post is available, and readable, by hundreds of thousands of servers all over the world. Thats what newsgroups are. You just happened to find it thru Google. Google is a search service. Thats what its for. Even the fact that it lets people see that you are on a VDSL connection from Qwest isnt a violation. Considering what you posted I can understand why you might be mad that it can be seen by more people than you thought. Sorry about that. Gandalf Parker |

First grab all the misplaced and misspelled words: contact, cunsumer, aptitudes, emposes list a-z: aptitudescontactcunsumeremposes first and last: A............s reverse first two letters of first word after last misplaced/misspelled word in original text li Add language code of original text: en insert into first and last: Aliens First typo into past tense: cunsumer = consumed = Ate First person reference after name of defendant: My initials of first two words in second paragraph (Obviously): GG = Horse Finalise with statement-complaint type: Blanket Thus we have, quite simply: "Aliens ate my horse blanket" I'm surprised nobody else got this earlier. Still, it all makes sense now, eh? -- "Tennis is a funny game; unbelievable highs and the lows are just as low..." (JOHN MCENROE) BBC1 http://www.private-eye.co.uk |
