Don't laugh - the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) makes equipment
able to defeat copyright protection such as Macrovision illegal. Not the USE
of it, but the manufacture and/or posession of it.

Of course, Time-Base Correctors, which are used, and necessary, in broadcast
video production, easily defeat copy protection.

Personal responsibility for your own actions is a thing of the past.

scary times, Tony.

We live in times where big corporations seemingly influence/buy new laws.

Of course, the problem for the state is that many of these measures are
largely unenforceable.

I want to see democracy restored (I am in the UK).
