| Civilians | Does MSN search use a feed from Google? Reason I ask, one of my pages has bombed on MSN and Google, both at the same time. -- Charles Sweeney http://CharlesSweeney.com |

I don't hold much store by it. > Instead of your page "moving down" it could be just that other pages > have crept up. You know, taken you on the outside... This is a possibility, but the change was sudden, and happened on MSN and Google at the same time. This was why I wondered if MSN used a Google feed (or some sort of Google query). -- Charles Sweeney http://CharlesSweeney.com |

Thanks Bill. Some coincidence don't you think? The page was sitting merrily on page one for many months, then at the same time bombed on both search engines? My own feeling is that it was to do with the change I made. That there is a common part of the Google and MSN algorithms that produced the same result. I have restored the page to the way it was when it was performing well. I will report back when it's former position is restored! -- Charles Sweeney http://CharlesSweeney.com |
