| Civilians | ok - got it - the knownsub - like webmail would be a catchall under apache. the dns setup would be a c-name or a-name (I prefer a-name) in your basic setup. | Civilians | I just looked in the apache config for some of our webmail setup - we have it http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail/ ie, anyone can use /webmail and it goes to the same server wide scripts: Alias /webmail /home/openwebmail/data/openwebmail ScriptAlias /openwebmail-cgi /home/openwebmail/cgi-bin/openwebmail Now... doing it the other way, with a subdomain is more complex, and as it involves extra DNS records, I'd avoid it - merely because some of our customers manage their own DNS completely, and it's a headache I don't need! ![]() regards Greg |
