I guess you don't have their #. That's why it's always good to save your host's phone # and not wait till they are down to find out what's happening. Try whois and see if they list a working #. Internet is completely virtual. I live in SouthAmerica, and this company said it was in TEXAS. I looked for in google "hosting companies" and this seemed to have good commentaries, so I bought hosting and the domain inscription. and I paid with credit card. I did not have problems...until now Now I am looking for another hosting company ( I have all data from my site). but my problem is; how I recover my name of domain?, in order to transfer it to another hosting. - (by the way my site is misscafe.com) > Try whois and see if they list a working #. The whois information is useless, since it is a direction outside the USA, and does not have telephone. - |

You'll need full information on how you registered the domain. Tom J |

For a hosting company I would recommend iHost (www.ihost.biz) and if you want they can transfer a name for you also. - SG |

For a hosting company I > would recommend iHost (www.ihost.biz) and if you want they can > transfer a name for you also. I only suggested that because the odds are oxhosting registered the domain through Network Solutions. I wasn't suggesting that he transfer the domain to Network Solutions. You are suggesting he jump out of the frying pan into the fire. I've been down that road of having the domain with the webhost and had them sink. I use www.namecheap, which is one of the top registrars, and everything they do is related to domains only. I have the webhost with someone else. In fact, I have dual host, so if the primary goes down, all I have to do is have namecheap change to pointers on the domain and the site is right back up. At $100 a year, that's cheap insurance. I can always up the band width if I have to switch. Tom J |
