| Civilians | Just curious. Of all the spam and junk mail I receive, by far the majority comes from supposed sexual enhancement drug purveyors as well as those wanting to alert me that my application for a $400K mortgage has been approved, which incidentally I didn't apply for. These obviously have to be coming from the same stable as they are either remarkably similar or exact clones of each other. My question is where does these msgs originate from? They must be from some central place that is either sending them constantly under different names or they are convincingly convincing others that they can make a profit by investing in sending them out. Of course it could be that tens of thousands got the same idea to offer unlimited mortgages as well as sex enhancements all at the same time. Anyone else like to chime in and share their info or give their opinion? Tha RagMan |

I've lost count of the number of final warnings I've had from "them" (actually phishing crooks, and not eBay). Matt |

It's been said, and is probably true, that 90% of the spam you get comes from a small group of 200 or so[1] professional spammers. Initially, no doubt. But I'm also quite sure that others would soon fill the vaccuum. The "ceasing to exist" part isn't hard. I think red uniforms are reserved for special occasions and they mostly ride in police cars. Well, one I got told part of the truth. The alleged widow claimed that her late husband had made eight hundred million dollars from fleecing people in 419 scams (complete with links to anti-419 sites including the 419 Coalition website) and now that he has died, could I please help her smuggle the money out of Africa before the police seize it?
