The answer is yes or no.

Yes if you're serving mostly static content to people.

If you are running
dynamic content, then everything depends on how well written your
application is, the database design, the underlying technology, how many
people hit it, their usage patterns, etc.

The only way to tell with web application is to develop a testing plan and
start doing scalability testing.
