Telephone numbers?

Slightly OT, but has anyone any experience or advise
on using 0870 numbers on websites?
I'm thinking of setting up a new line and have the option
of a 0845 number or a 0870 number.
With 0845, the caller pays local rate and I have to cover
the cost if it is a national call.
With 0870, the caller pays a national rate and I actually
earn a very small amount from each call.
Obviously the 0870 number is better for me, but has anyone
any experience as to whether this would deter people from
ringing?

I never ring those 0870 unless there is no option, and then I tell them
to ring me back.

OTOH I'd ring 0800 everytime I get chance, 0845 not too fussed about.
