Default where to register international domains

Could anyone recommend a good company to register .de and .fr domains with.
I'm based in the UK. I found netnames appear to do it, are they any good?

Thanks for any help

Alex

Default Re: where to register - register.com

I found register.com do some international domains, would they be ok to use
even though I'm based in the UK? Or am I better off using a registrar based
here even though they are a lot more expensive?

You can use whatever registrar you want to, however I wouldn't recommend
that you use register.com -- they are overly expensive, IMHO, and in the
past have automatically renewed and charged me for domains that I no
longer wanted. I suppose they customer service is good though as I
managed to get a full refund fairly easily.

Thanks, I thought register.com were cheap, well compared to netnames thay
are - netnames is £75 plus nic fee for any domain outside .com, .co.uk etc.
Do you know of any cheaper registrars? Also I don't want one that will go
bankrupt either.
