Zip/Postal Code lists

All,

I'm also looking for a list of zip codes (U.S.) with longitude/latitude
information. I know there are several on the market; does anyone have
an idea which are the most accurate?

Also - is something similar available for Canada's postal codes? How
about other countries?

Basically, for those countries with zip/postal codes, I'm looking to be
able to get an approximate geographical location for a person.

Commercial products are OK, as long as I don't end up with too big of a
bill! :-)

There are a bunch of places offering this. Do a Google with Zipcode Latitude. I
use the one that sells a complete U.S download for $29.95. Output looks like this:

ZIPCode,City,County,StateCode,State,CityType,ZIPCo deType,CountyFIPS,AreaCode,TimeZone,Latitude,Longi tude

7728,FREEHOLD,MONMOUTH,NJ,NEW JERSEY,D,S,34025,732,EASTERN,40.2229,-74.3007

Make sure it's updated on a regular basis... at least yearly.

In my area, we have a ton of people moving in. Victorville added a ZIP code in
'04 or late '03, and Hesperia/Oak Hills are adding a ZIP code next month. The
growth factor here is incredible... bazillions of houses going up

That's the problem. Zip codes are added and dropped, so you need updates.

There are several on the market. But some have more errors than others.
That's why I was looking here - which ones are the cleanest.

Hi, Arnie,

Yes, I've seen them on Google and other places. But the biggest
question is - which are the most accurate? Some have more errors than
others.

That's a legitimate ZIP code - I am 100% sure it's 07728, and USPS.COM agrees
with me. :>

I've never lived far enough east to have thought of the magnitudinally
challenged ZIPs out there.
