| Civilians | I was just wanting to ask the group how you deal with 'website burnout'. I have a plate full of domains that each have a script installation that needs doing. I am suffering from burnout though. Any advice for getting over it? :0) Heidi |

| Civilians | Everybody's battery needs recharging every once in a while. For some, it is more often than others. Speaking of myself, I can go on and on and on... like the energizer bunny, when I'm working on my web sites. However, even I need recharging during on rare occasions. The only way to do that is to enjoy my kids and my family. If I spend one day - or sometimes even a few hours - focusing purely on them and their needs, without ever thinking about work the whole time, my batteries automatically get charged up and stay that way for the longest time. So, the short answer is, go get a life - and do not just something else, like the other person suggested - go do something that will recharge you and heal you. - Ravi Jayagopal Founder & Software Architect http://WebmasterInABox.net |

When I get another email saying "I can't access my email. What am I doing wrong?" with no contact information except their email address, I feel like screaming. 1. Try creating a web page just for fun -- even if only on your own machine. Try new effects. Try seeing how many ways you can deliberately find to break different browsers. 2. Sew a cushion shaped like a computer -- and stick pins in it. 3. Try creating a web page upside down. (May require the use of a font editor to create an inverted font.) 4. Do some reverse-spamming. Create a long advertising message telling people why they should avoid your website and then don't send it to anybody. 5. Find some really crappy corporate websites and create parodies of them. 6. ______________________________ 7. ______________________________ 8. ______________________________ 9. ______________________________ 10. _____________________________ The last five left as an exercise for your imagination. I would send you something but SBTP[2] and SCTP[3] haven't been implemented yet.
