Default Safe uri characters - php

What characters are safe to use in a php uri? (mysite.com/?id=HERE)
These should be safe:
1234567890abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMN OPQRSTUVWXYZ

But what about these: _ - . , / : ; @ * ! " ' ) (

And are there others I can use for "?id=..." ?
