Default Firefox 1.0.1 breaks flash!!!! :(

On ALL of my machines, 1.0.1 causes the "loadMovie" functionality in the
Flash player to break. Flash movies that internally load other Flash
movies no longer works on any of them. Sometimes resizing the browser
window causes the movie to stutter and partly load, but it does NOT
stream the movie itself. This is really bad.

Has anyone else had any issues? Flash support in FF is been ropey from
the very start. But THIS problem is a total show-stopper for me.

It's a good thing your sites aren't dependent on Flash.

Might want to check in here: netscape.public.mozilla.browsers .

*glowers*. Yeah fine if Flash is disabled or not installed. At least
then you can offer alternative content. But if the movie loads and then
just stalls, that's crap.

*bemused* hm.

No, I'll go back to FireFox 1.0 until they fix it. I'd rather not risk
my machines security with IE.

Don't think I've got any problems here myself. There was definitely a
problem of FF locking up on startup. Something to do with one of the
plug-ins. I removed my plugins and readded them. All's fine. I was sad at
having to go back to IE.Tabbed browsing is the mutts nuts.

Post a url to that movie in the official Firefox support group so that FF
developers can see it, verify it and fix it for you. Or maybe someone can
tell you about a Flash workaround.
