| Civilians | I'm not sure if this is a FrontPage question or a Windows XP question. I recently reloaded my computer due to a file error in the OS. I don't recall the original setup, but I installed with a user name of "Bill Allen". A system folder was then subsequently created named "Bill Allen's Documents". I have my websites in the "My Webs" subdirectory. When I tried to open a web, I got a "Illegal Character" error. I suspect the illegal character is the apostrophy in "Bill Allen's Documents". How do I get around this other than putting the "My Webs" directory somewhere else (I want to back up My Documents)? TIA, Bill Allen |

| Civilians | Have you tried renaming the folder? -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "Bill Allen, S.E." <T.W.Allen@cox.net> wrote in message news:iIJSd.19215$Tt.3963@fed1read05... > I'm not sure if this is a FrontPage question or a Windows XP question. > > I recently reloaded my computer due to a file error in the OS. | Civilians | Yes. That was the first thing I tried. I got an error message that this was a protected Windows folder and could not be renamed.
