Default Findind a Site's Webhost

Hi ...

Not long ago I sent this message to the group, but I don't believe I saw a
response. So, I hope you don't mind If I ask again.

I purchased some services from a website - and for some reason, they have
decided not to give me any service - nor are they answering any of my emails!

I want to contact their webhost to let them know what they are doing. But I
don't know how to do this. I did a whois search - but all that did was tell me
the contact - technical and registrant info.

I want to know who their webhosting company is.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks in Advance!!

KFM

Find out who owns the IP block and write to them.

If you have the IP of the website, enter that into your address bar.
If you get the website in question, it's a dedicated IP.
Many times a host will have a block of IP's.
say 127.0.0.0 to 127.0.0.100.
Add or subtract 1 to the final number and see what you get.
If it's shared hosting, you may get a fancy looking page with some useful
information on it.
And you may get another active website. In which case you can write to them,
and find out who they are hosted by.

And if all else fails, call the phone number listed.
It has to be valid by ICANN rules.

Same here but I found doing a ping and/or tracert of my domain IP
still shows the actual host so maybe that is something the original poster
would like to check into?

Good luck,
Heidi
