I use "Human Eyes v1.00" with the new "Colour Perception" plugin.....Alas,
looking around the internet nowadays, it's a rarely used tool.....

Hmmmmmm, I've been using my own "personal" human eyes for 10 years
now... seem to work the best for me.

Well, Bahooka Bill and Fat Sam, I think you have it exactly right.
There have been theories about what constitutes the most pleasant color
scheme for hundreds of years. Every time, along comes some group of people
who find the scheme of the day boring or clashy, or who say that they don't
WANT a pleasant color scheme, thank you very much. All you can really do
is try to make the colors somehow appropriate to the content -- if there is
any content, and if that's your bag.

What empirical experiments could you possibly run to verify the 'best' color
scheme for a society with goths, Democrats, Republicans, Bozos, Bezerkers,
quilters, Abstract Expressionists, and parakeet lovers?

That's one thing that colour coordinator tools can't do for us, but
they can put combinations together that we might not come up with on
our own.

I wasn't looking for a tool to give me the "best" colour scheme, but
one to help get ideas. These tools often put shades of colours
together that I find pleasing and that work together better than a
combination I could've come up with without these tools.
