Default Login to OE from another Computer

Please reply to tbcbbq@yahoo.com . How the heck do you login to your email
on OE from ANY computer? My boss went to try to read his email from another
computer and it wanted him to create another account! What a bunch of crap!
Any email service that is worth anything should have the ability to login to
it from any internet- connected machine on the planet. All my other ones
will let me do that (roadrunner, yahoo). All I can hope for is that someone
more intelligent than Microsoft (should not be too hard to find on here) can
tell me because the OE help menu sucks too.

This is a newsgroup for Microsoft Access. You should try the Outlook Express
newsgroup. Although, I think Microsoft Help system in Outlook Express is the
one that got you here in the first place.. <g>.

From your post, you may need basic information on email systems, how they
work, what's what, etc. OE is an email client. Your description of OE's
behavior is normal and by design. Any email client behaves similarly (i.e.
Eudora, Groupwise, Netscape, etc.). Comparing OE with web based email
systems such as Roadrunner, Yahoo is like comparing apples and oranges and
an indication of your need for basic information on email systems.

All I'm saying here is that if I were to make a judgement of a certain
product being crappy, or the creator of that product being of less
intelligence, I would want to make sure that I am sufficiently informed, and
educated about the subject to make such a judgement. Wouldn't you do the
same?

So to answer your question:

First, you have to login they way it says you login. Create an account, if
an account doesnt already exist!!
Again, remember you are using an email client (Outlook Express). You have to
do this with any other email clients.

Second, if you want things to work like Roadrunner, Yahoo, etc, it is not an
issue with the email client (i.e. OE etc). It is an issue with your ISP.
Your ISP is the one that needs to give you that capability, not OE. This is
what I meant by comparing apples and oranges.

Please respond to the newsgroup only.
