That said, I agree with everything that Els mentioned. I also noticed that there seems to be a problem with the text "articles to display" at the bottom of the left-hand scrolling div, in that it is partially hidden beneath the large yellow 'G'. I would consider increasing the left margin for this text. -- Dylan Parry http://webpageworkshop.co.uk -- FREE Web tutorials and references |

That was a deliberate effect (to go with the "junk" feel of the site), but I'd missed the fact that it obscures the bottom of the scrolling div! Oops. Maybe something to look at? Personally, I think "This site is best viewed with" type notations are very poor form, unless you're a Firefox affiliate, I'd lose the button advert and particularly the "best viewed with" hover text. Oh, and I do like that bloody annoying, totally appropriate bluebottle wandering about! Matt -- Free, high quality content for web sites. See http://www.probertencyclopaedia.com/xcont.htm |

You're right about the icons across the bottom. They look messy anyway. They will be integrated into the design, and "best viewed with" will go. I'll just run the affiliate icon. Scrolling is something I'm looking into for sure. It seems to be the biggest complaint so far. Happily, since 10pm last night we've had over 200 people sign up for membership despite their being very little content yet. I'm amazed! I guess I must be pressing a few buttons. -- x theSpaceGirl (miranda) # lead designer @ http://www.dhnewmedia.com # # remove NO SPAM to email, or use form on website # |
