Default Domain registration price differences..

Hello all..

While looking into domain registration costs I came across
network solutions, price of domain registration being $35 per
year. It seems that there is a very wide gap between that, and
the $9 deals that are advertised. Why is there such a
difference, and what advantages/extra services do the more
expensive registrars offer ??

Thanks in advance for any info.

There is no difference. The more expensive ones try to suggest they
offer better quality I guess. I used several registrars the last
couple of years, and they all did equally well. Right now I use
registerfly.com solely, because I want to have all domains with the
same registrar, they are a large and established company, theu have
many extras to offer and they are cheap. Every two weeks they have
special offers for customers, so you can transfer for 6 bucks,
register for 8 bucks etc.

OnlineNIC works just better than Networks Solutions and is $6.99/domain.

I'm not a NetSol customer, but I believe they offer some more advanced
DNS functions like round robin and backup MX. They probably have
better phone support than some of the bottom feeders, however, I'd say
GoDaddy has decent phone support and doesn't cost nearly as much.
