Default Fat Sam's Friday Poll

Okay, not so much a poll, but something I was pondering last night.....

Programming and coding is all about problem solving right?.....Applying
logical thought processes to a problem in order to produce a solution.....

So, I was wondering, how many of you guys have ever managed to solve a
Rubiks Cube?......
Properly solve it that is.....Peeling off the stickers doesn't
count......For the sake of this poll, peeling off the stickers is the
equivalent of stealing someone elses "Hello World" Javascript and claiming
it as your own......

I've never managed to solve a rubiks cube myself, but then again, my
programming methods are a bit clunky and un-refined at times......I think my
ability to solve a rubiks cube, and programme in a gracefull way are somehow
linked

No, prying off the sticker is the equivalent of reprogramming the
simulator to win the Kobayashu Maru test. If Captain James T. Kirk can
do it, so can we.

Sam,

Does taking it apart and putting it back together count? <G>

I bought one of those books that supposedly teaches you how to solve the
rubiks cube.....A complete waste of money.....It was more complicated than
the puzzle itself, LOL.....

Aaah...I did that once, and the cube was never quite the same again.....All
loose and rattly, with a tell tale mark on one of the corner pieces where
I'd prized it off with a screwdriver......

Not I. Besides, the Rubiks Cube is simply a multicoloured paperweight
with no other use in this world. I lost interest in it after a couple of
minutes pondering over a solution :\
