Default I need to learn a few things

I have decided I need to learn how to do mod_rewrites which leads me to
needing to learn a lot more about .htaccess and regular expressions. I have
found a boat load of stuff out there with google. But I am very interested
in hearing what a.w.w members have found to be the best tutorials/ books on
the subjects.

At this point the best tutorials for me will have lots of examples.

In particular, read:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/urlmapping.html

then:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/con...gotiation.html

and lastly:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/misc/rewriteguide.html

The final one is what you really want, but it's a good idea to have a
grounding in the other two first.

If you're not using Apache 2.0.x, then make sure you look at the right
version of the documentation.
