| Civilians | I hear so much about blogs for content management but I am more familiar with using a CMS. Pros/Cons of each? Anyone? Can a blog really make a site with several different content subjects easier to manage? Would a CMS work better/easier for this? .. .. .. .. .. *at least it isn't a political discussion but watch it end up that way :p * Heidi |

I've tried using a couple of CMSs but I've always found it easier to write scripts to suit my own needs. Too much hassle to customise a pre- written CMS and they never have the exact features I want. Whether or not a blog would work depends on the kind of site you have. Most decent blogs allow you to seperate posts into different categories, but I can only see them being useful for a news site. -- Dan Ruscoe |
