where is this coming from

Does anybody know is there some software etc that can tell me when I am
logged on to the internet, where data that I am receiving is coming from? My
downloads are phenomonal and I don't know who my computer is communicating
with. My antivirus software hasn't picked up any viruses on my system but I
am still concerned.

Mark can you be more specific please?... your downloads are phenomenal?
... during what ? you downloading vid games or mp3 or ????? from a sight?
from a friend?... also if u are downloading from the internet then you
are connected ...
