| Civilians | I am very interested in audio on demand in which the surfer has a choice whether to hear audio by clicking a button; it is not automatic, so the bandwidth problem is not an issue for surfers who have a problem with streaming audio - they just don't click on the button. Here are the sources for Flash encoding programs that make the process simple: http://www.audiogenerator.com http://www.sonicememo.com http://www.mp3soundstream.com http://www.mywebsitetalks.com http://www.soundnails.com http://www.instantaudio.com http://www.audiomakerpro.com I purchased Audiomaker Pro, but while I am impressed with its simplicity, I am not impressed with the quality of the audio output. The bitrate is too low for my tastes, and I do not see a way to increase the bitrate of the Flash converter, which I know nothing about. Upon further research, it appears that the program from soundnails.com allows a choice of quality. Since I am not familiar with Flash and with the technologies these programs use to create the audio, I am hoping that someone here WITH this knowledge will explain the differences to me. I really don't want to waste money on another program, so I am trying to do some homework. I do believe that audio on demand is viable using these technologies. Again, if the surfer does not want to hear the audio, s/he doesn't click on the button. No harm done. |
