Default Advice on getting new html coding skills

I have been coding WWW pages since 1994, but I got tired of
working on it as a creative medium pretty early on, due to the
fact that I wear many hats in my business and also do a few
different arts.

Does anyone have any advice on getting back into coding html
as a creative discipline?

I know I could take a class, so looking for something more interesting
like "rewrite someone else's code," "use some templates," something like that I
may not have thought of.

Thanks!

Look a sites whose layout you like. Imagine how you would create it
yourself. Then look at the html and see how it was done differently.
Along with HTML, learn CSS and how it's used creatively, from people like
Eric Meyer.

Yes, I know how it is, rec.music.uk.brotherhood.of.man is such a chore to
type out!

LOL! Actually I was thinking more that rec.music.rock-pop-r+b.1970s would
take too long to type, but now I may as well list the rest too:

alt.music.dream-theater
alt.music.mike-oldfield
alt.music.peter-gabriel
alt.music.pink-floyd
alt.music.progressive
alt.music.yes
rec.music.progressive

The first five are a purely reading group (I rarely post if ever) but the
other three (including the 1970s one) I sometimes post in. It's the other
groups that I mentioned in the earlier post that I regularly participate
in.
