Post 9-mm Small-Sized Submachine Gun SR-3

The small-sized submachine gun is intended to engage enemy power protected with armour vests, as well as non-armour materiel at a range of up to 200 m. Automatic reloading is based on the recoil energy of powder gases. Design features of the submachine gun:
- the presence of mechanism for quick “ejection” of the magazine,
- the metal folding stock makes it possible to reduce the overall dimensions and to deliver aimed fire both with folded and unfolded stock,
- the convenience of hidden carrying is possible owing to the absence of exposed parts on the external surface;
- the submachine gun has the dimensions of a machine pistol but exceeds it in firing range and hitting effect.
Supplying with detachable double-column sector-type magazine with the cartridges located in chess-board order and interchangeable with magazines of the AS and VSS articles is the advantage of this submachine gun. The 9-mm armour-piercing cartridge SP6 and the 9-mm sniping cartridge SP5 are used for shooting. It is possible to deliver both automatic and single-shot fire.
