| Snake-eater ![]() | Let me know what it looked like, Sir Blue. To maintain our cover, we wore the same Green Berets as all other Special Forces troops. We didn't want to be singled out. The existence of our unit remained classified for thirty years, and the stories started after that and a lot of "fake members" began to appear. So, I'd love to hear about that beret and tell the dealer he was probably scammed by a fake. You'll that notice that the beret on the MAC-SOG patch is green, that should help convince you.

| Racy Ol' Lady ![]() | Hi, you two! Now it feels like I've come home, seeing you all are, or were, here. I can't tell yet.

| Racy Ol' Lady ![]() | Oh, well, in that case, I will go eat dinner with Bob. Since the kids haven't shown up, he got an Arby's beef wrap -- one of them feeds both of us, so it's a cheap meal, tasty and all fresh vegetables with good beef and cheese. Now that I've whetted your appetite's, I'll go get it! Back shortly -- it only takes a short time to eat it! ![]()

What I did not do, but will the next time I go in his shop, is to look inside the beret to see what label etc. if anything is in there. I know there are a great great many fakes of endless kinds out there... but, you can understand why that patch caught my hawkeye. ![]() Did your unit, or any of the guys afterward in the same unit, ever wear that patch on your beret during or after the war? And, if the unit continued, what is its designation today if any (and if you can tell me)?
