I am sorry I missed them. I hope they had a good day, and you also. [jjvman pours a tall cold one from the margarita pitcher, and another for Katie.] After the earlier part of the week when our daughter hurt her ankle and I was here tending to her, yesterday I had a bit of the runs and did not do much. She went to her place last night, so today I had a chance to rest and catch up a bit. I did go to the restaurant this morning for the cleaning crew, the linen delivery and two food deliveries (the produce and the main food delivery [frozen, cooler and dry storage items]). But the food deliveries didn't show early today, so I left the checks there and went to take yesterday's deposits to the bank. I also had papers to drop off at the lawyer's for our daughter, go grocery shopping for my wife, and write the payroll checks. At 4:00, I had to take the payroll to the restaurant for the employees to pick up. My wife got home around 6:00, took the dog for a walk, then started supper. She also started a small fight, and when I went to work in the back room office, she accused me of pouting. What a rotten ending to a busy day. [jjvman pours out more margaritas, reaches for the lime and salt.] I think I'll get the coffee ready, I have a feeling Old Sol will peek through the swinging doors and wake me up sometime. G'night all. [jjvman grabs Katie and gives her a hug and a good night kiss to keep away the monsters of the dark.]
