That's the spirit! Goofin' off is what I do every day -- and I must say, it's quite nice.

Our youngest son was here over Saturday night; he had a paper to deliver in DC, so he came here that night. It's over 100 miles, but only a third or so from where he lives and teaches now. It was lovely having him here.

That's wonderful! We haven't seen our son since late February. He started the Ft. Worth Police Department academy in March and his weekends are taken up with studying. I told Hub we're goin' up there............and SOON! Got a new car that needs breakin' in.....(not into).......I miss my boy and my granddaughters and yes, my daughter-in-law too.

Go see him, Bonnie! I understand missing our children more than anything else, I guess. We've missed our oldest son since he started seminary when he was 27 -- and he's now 52. He's been a priest for over 20 years and never even in his home state.

Our youngest, after several years in English universities, married and went to the University of Virginia for his doctorate. He did live here a year while finishing his dissertation, and later he and his family lived here for about five years. So I guess we miss him most just now because we had come to depend on him for a good many things.

He's teaching in a university out of state -- so we miss him.

Our middle son lives half an hour or so away and we do get to see him!
