Way out on the Eastside past a place caled Saddleback Butte. There are about 500 or so folks living out there. No electric and no phone lines they have to burn there trash and cart in water unless you have a well and a number of them do. Generators rule out there solar power is all over the place and there are only a couple paved roads.

I wouldn't like living like that but some do. My cousin lives in a place with a propane stove and fridge and no electricity and loves it. Good ol' pioneer stock.
