Service Stations were so nice; you sat in the car and a man (sometimes my father) came out and put gas in the car, cleaned the windshields both front and back, offered whatever other service one needed and you paid him and drove on. Much nicer for the customer. I won't bring up the prices for gasoline, that would be downright depressing!
