Plenty of reading material came my way (a Bill Bryson book, one about a zombie war and one about the SAS), as did more alcohol and cash. Parents didn't know what to get me with my being away most of the time and how I download things (nearly a day of heavy metal music, for example) so it was cash instead. Going to have to head up the big shopping centre near Newcastle and brave the sales sometime this week to get rid of it =P

Well, wish me luck, Anth -- we're about to turn over a 22-lb. turkey. So far, things are going along well. The family should be descending within another half hour, so after that anything can happen!

We give our grandchildren cash too.
