I know what you mean there. I miss doing all that with my kids too and can't really do it with Guin because now it's my daughter's turn to build those memories ... but I can enjoy from the sidelines.

That's what Jen said. She didn't work inside, but went on patrol and they had to wear their boots, uniform, t-shirt, flak vest, t-shirt (to hide the lines of the flak vest), ammo belt and hat in that weather. She said it got really hot.

The Power Plants hanger wasn't air conditioned either, and after a few minutes of wrenching, all traces of that Irish Springs shower were history. We had to pull patrol around the hanger, no sitting post, so it got pretty sticky by the end of the night.

Ya know, none of us can complain, compaired to the Viet vets who had to do unthinkable things for extended periods of times. Hanger patrol wasn't squat...
