It looks all sparkly clean and fresh in here - and the coffee smells great.

It turned really cold here last night - great for sleeping.

It's colder here too. In the low 20's, just a few days ago it was 72. I guess Winter has finally arrived, with a vengeance.

Yes - making up for lost time. It's all this global warming, of course. Too hot.

We don't have ice here - but there's a bitter cold wind, and the temperatures dropped into the mid 20's last night.

This think of 'taking care of the globe' is nonsense, I think. I'm reading a book about the natural history of the planet, going back hundreds of millions of years, and telling what science has discovered here over that period of time. What I read the other night - the author said we cannot take care of the earth, and that it will not respond to any attempts we make to do so. Nature does what it does, and man is nothing to it - it just doesn't care one way or the other.

The book is almost frightening - the power on this planet and what has happened here over time is downright horrifying. And I'm only in the first bit of it.
