Good morning Jason, Marianne and Anth.

My day off was a busy one, as usual, Marianne. Up early, got to bed late after running the meeting and the bar at the Legion. Next week will be the same. I'll work Monday because we have a big outing on Monday, it's for my town's VFD so they want me to work since I know many of the players. Another 6 day week at work.

You'll be worn down to a nub before the season ends, Paul. Six work days a week sounds like depression days when I was a kid. I remember my father really worked 6½ days a week.

I remember dad working 6 days a week when I was a bairn. Never saw him apart from Sundays because he would go out at 6am and not get back in until 10pm.

It all evens out in the end Marianne. There were some weeks that I only worked 3 or 4 days because of the weather, so I don't mind being tapped for the extra time at work when the weather is nice. At the end of the season I can look forward to a 3 month "vacation".

My father worked long days too, Anth. Sort of cheats the kids, doesn't it. Not to mention the father! My father would sit down in a chair and go right to sleep - and I would stand behind him and curl his hair around my fingers. He had very wavy hair, and it curled easily.

Hi all, cant reply much to your q's as Im in charge of my 14 month old son today who is now walking......! (creates more havoc than challenger on engine run away!) I havent been on the newbie thread, didnt know there was such a thing until you mentioned it! I may need some coaching on this site...

Aye Marianne, dad used to get in, get food, go to bed. Thats when he was a butcher but he wont work like that now. Too much stress for him (even though teaching people to ride motorbikes is pretty stressfull).

Jason - This site is huge, so most people need coaching to find some things hidden away. Anyone who is around should be able to help if you have any questions. If they dont know the answer, it will probably be passed to me (when I'm not getting hit, splatted off the deck or in lectures)
