I took some classes from an Air Force guy years ago in Ju Jitsu. I wonder if it was the same? I learned a lot about how to fall and how to throw people that came in handy over the years.

I was at an Arnis class last night. Only did some basic stuff (only 4 of us there, 2 instructors) but stepping out for the triangular footwork was second nature for me - zenkutso datchi, stick right shoulder to left knee, step back, repeat

That's what my instructor said. There was a karate class on the other side of the base gym.
