Post What A Hypocrite! Obama Speech Wesleyan College Disregards Military

At a commencement address at Wesleyan College, Obama mentions various ways to serve one’s community and country and doesn’t even mention the military. And it was on Memorial Day of all days. Even those noted right wing nutjobs at CNN were scratching their heads.

What Presidential candidate doesn’t mention the sacrifice of our military heroes on Memorial Day? One with a patriotism problem, see here McCain v. Obama on Patriotism | The Patriot Room and here, Obama Wants to Redefine Patriotism | The Patriot Room that’s who.

It gives us an indication of his true nature and, perhaps, of his interests. Such as being interested in undermining our military by not getting the matériel they need.

It's darn scary.

Default Re: What A Hypocrite! Obama Speech Wesleyan College Disregards Military

I've been rather hopeful about Obama's candidacy, and voted for him in the open Missouri primary, with the idea of helping defeat Billary at any cost.

There is an tremendous amount to like about the guy, in my opinion... though I can't be sure quite yet about the crucial vote in November. It will depend on what happens between now and then, and who McCain and he select for VP.

I do believe that Obama is very naive, a problem many president's have for about the first 90 days in office. I also believe that he is predictably quite a partisan Democrat... more so than I once thought he would be. I don't agree that he's a hypocrite... and I have no worry at all that, should he win the election, there will be some sort of wholesale 180 degree change in our foreign policy or our military deployments. He may do a better job on domestic matters. Most Democrats do, in my view. He has an elegant wife who'd be a wonderful First Lady in her own way. I do not believe either of them would disgrace us. And, very importantly, though it will still be tough for him, he could help our country get racism OFF the damn table for a change.

What I find inspiring about the coming election is that for once we may have a truly stark difference between two worthy candidates... in practically every conceivable way.

But again, I don't see him as a hypocrite. He's just an idealistic Democrat... with very limited experience in international or national politics.
