Our Social Security Funds; Support H.R. 219

I really think Ron Paul's H.R. 219 is something we should all support by contacting our so-called Congressional representatives and tell them to put it on the fast track. The thievery of the Social Security funds is a disgrace, and it's long past time to put a halt to it.

This is of special interest to me since I am going to start my SS benefits in November. This thieving Legislature has got to stop doing this to people who have contributed to the system all their lives.

A few thoughts.

This has been going on since LBJ and his Merry Band of Thieves.

Both DIMS and PUBS, for the most part, are parties to the thievery.

That the thievery shall continue is a given. It matters little whether Little Johnny or OsamaObama is elected.

To most people; "a kiss is still a kiss, a sigh is still a sigh', and Ron Paul is still a kook because he doesn't believe in incessant war mongering.

While we know our "representatives" in Congress are given to this thievery, I think if enough of us step forward and tell them either it stops or they are out of their jobs, they just may vote our way.

If we say, "Oh there's no stopping them," those funds will be history for our descendants, but they will continue paying into them.

I believe that the obligations made by the country to help people retire should be kept. Myself and most of my peers by age believe that we will have to put more in because of the baby boom going into retirement. Many of us do not think, and are planning on no help from daddy 'gubment for our retirement. Any thing we can do at present to help with the current state (ie -- that in ten years it's either going to be dead or require higher taxes) so that what's coming gets pushed back is for the best. I don't care who's pushing the legislation, but there's a simple fact that in less than two decades, the government will be requiring 1/2 my income to meet it's obligations... anything to push that off.
