Goods and Services Deficit Increases in May 2007
The Nation’s international deficit in goods and services increased to $60.0 billion in May from $58.7 billion (revised) in April, as imports increased more than exports.


Goods and Services
Exports increased to $132.0 billion in May from $129.2 billion in April. Goods were $93.3 billion in May, up from $90.9 billion in April, and services were $38.7 billion in May, up from $38.2 billion in April.

Imports increased to $192.1 billion in May from $187.8 billion in April. Goods were $162.3 billion in May, up from $158.3 billion in April, and services were $29.8 billion in May, up from $29.6 billion in April.

For goods, the deficit was $69.0 billion in May, up from $67.3 billion in April. For services, the surplus was $9.0 billion in May, up from $8.7 billion in April.
