Default Some Unseen Costs of The Invasion of America

My understanding is these were taken near Three Points, AZ in a nearby layup area, where the Illegals rest before scattering into the US. Where are 'The Greenies' when you need them.

The picture with the guys in it are to give a little perspective to how large the trashed area is.

On this particular trip, the guys spotted 13 Illegals plus their 'Coyote' and the BP happily gave them a free ride home. Of course, they will be be back.

BTW, these pictures are used with permission.

Interesting perception of illegal entry into the United States. Invasion denotes taking by force. These illegals for the most part wish to reside in the United States, not overthrow it. They are willing to work at jobs for less pay, and willing to pay the taxes even as noted in a recent article.

I suppose it would be of some help if they put a dumpster out there in the Desert for trash removal. I live at the point of the Rio Grand where the mountains of Mexico and the US meet in El Paso. It is very well guarded, with the Border Patrol stationed it seems within eyesight of each other literally. Yet they still manage to get by within their eyesight. I watched children from Mexico playing in the very river yesterday as I drove down Doniphan Rd which parallels the river on the west side of town.

Until the economy of Mexico reaches parity with the US we will continue to see people who will attempt to cross for not just the economic reasons, but political and educational benefits as well. And not every Mexican wants to live in the United States as some seem to feel.

La Raza, ( for the Race, everything. Not the Race, nothing ) which BTW, our illustrious Attorney General seems to be a member of, and the Reconquistas have just about stated their aim is to take back the Great Southwest.

If you would not consider the Illegals, 12 to 30 million, with an additional 60 to 100 million expected if Bush's Shamnesty Plan is implemented, an invasion, how would you describe it? BTW, an untold number of other than Latinos, have crossed. Their purpose?

Your statement concerning La Raza shows racism. It is in fact not the political stance taken by the Political group La Raza, it concerns itself with promoting the Hispanic community. What individual members chose to advocate does not reflect your statement at all. Promoting and encouraging the community of hispanics in this counrty, is far different then advocating taking over the Southwest. You will not find many Hispanics advocating the extreme stance your stating except the disenfranchised, most do in fact do not want that.

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) – the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States – works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans. Through its network of nearly 300 affiliated community-based organizations (CBOs), NCLR reaches millions of Hispanics each year in 41 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. To achieve its mission, NCLR conducts applied research, policy analysis, and advocacy, providing a Latino perspective in five key areas – assets/investments, civil rights/immigration, education, employment and economic status, and health. In addition, it provides capacity-building assistance to its Affiliates who work at the state and local level to advance opportunities for individuals and families
National Council of La Raza: About NCLR

I cannot seem to find anything on their site making that claim. It seems to me that perhaps they are like the NAACP and are seeking equality rather then seperation.
National Council of La Raza: About NCLR: Detailed History

As for why people come to this country, maybe they believe in the words written on the base of the Statue of Liberty.

A line from a poem, “The New Colossus,” by the nineteenth-century American poet Emma Lazarus. “The New Colossus,” describing the Statue of Liberty, appears on a plaque at the base of the statue. It ends with the statue herself speaking: 1
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

I suppose we should blame the French since it was their gift too our country?

Can we really believe this is not an invasion, with the aim of taking over? Does anybody remember the not-so-long-ago goings on in California? The US flag upside down BENEATH the Mexican flag?

Of course it's an invasion! Some may be coming in for jobs, no doubt that's true. Some -- those "other than Mexicans" -- could be terrorists. I looked at the pictures above to see if I could sight a prayer rug or kafiyah, but it's not clear enough. I saw some possibilities, but it simply is not possible for me.

I like Mexicans -- those I've met. But legal is the acceptable way for them to come and live here. Then they must learn English.. and become citizens. I believe one who refuses to learn English should be denied citizenship.

It's our country -- let's try to keep it.

The words at the base of the Statue of Liberty work for me.

Now all we have to do is get those illegals to filter through Ellis Island and become documented.

I'm curious about what will happen to the economy as the poorly educated, work for less illegals gain in population. How will low paying jobs support the social programs that are in place now? Will less education & command of the english language shift the balance of technical jobs even more to outsourcing?

Will American society match Mexico with wealthy & poor & no middle class?

Time will tell.

1. They are coming here to improve themselves not take over. Can you point to one mainstream group that is advocating that of Hispanic origin?

Not just jobs but Democracy, something not practised south of our boarders to the extent that is in this country. Why would they not want to come here like all of our ancestors did before us, unless your a Native American. Invasion means to take by force, they want to join this society, and are willing to do just about anything to become part of it.

Looking at the census data sets from the Census Bureu, we can argue better looking at hard facts rather then speculation or emotions.

That is already thge law.
Applicants for naturalization must also be able to read, write, and speak the English language. Persons who are physically unable to comply due to a permanent physical or developmental disability, or permanent mental impairment are exempt from the literacy requirements. In addition, applicants who are more than 50 years of age and have been permanent residents of the United States for more than 20 years, or are more than 55 years of age and have been permanent residents of the United States for more than 15 years, as of the date of filing the application, may be examined in their native language rather than English.
