| NCO ![]() | Banning LEGOs Teachers at a Seattle day care center decided to ban LEGO building blocks — those colorful little bricks kids use to build such creations as robots, monster trucks, space ships and vast futuristic cities. The Hilltop Children's Center bills itself as a nationally recognized, non-profit, non-religious facility. So why did the teachers toss the LEGOs? We'll let them explain: "We agreed that we want to take part in shaping the children's understandings from a perspective of social justice. So we decided to take the LEGOs out of the classroom. The children were building their assumptions about ownership and the social power it conveys — assumptions that mirrored those of a class-based, capitalist society — a society that we teachers believe to be unjust and oppressive." After months of what the teachers called "social justice exploration" — they let the LEGOs back in — but kids were only allowed to build "public structures" of standard sizes in a village dedicated to what they called "collectivity and consensus." | Jr. Officer ![]() | After months of what the teachers called "social justice exploration" — they let the LEGOs back in — but kids were only allowed to build "public structures" of standard sizes in a village dedicated to what they called "collectivity and consensus." And here I thought that we won the Cold War. |

![]() | Well if the parents want their children brainwashed and are too stupid to see the harm that comes with such indoctrination then well they are bad parents. No different then Nazi or Soviet "teaching" it teaches hate. Do these people know nothing about history? What kind of idiot teacher knows nothing of human civilization?

| Non-Commissioned Officer ![]() | British playgroups and nursery schools have to have ethnic diversity dolls, story books about homosexual and lesbian couples, single parent families and just about every alternative lifestyle imaginable. Boys and girls are encouraged to avoid gender biased toys ,so if your daughter likes to play with dolls she is led to believe she is oppressed and fulfilling a gender stereotype. If your son likes to play with guns he is obviously some kind of homicidal maniac who needs to be steered away from violence. And we now wonder why our kids are so screwed up. They are not allowed to develop their own identity but are imprinted with some socially acceptable personality. |

| Non-Commissioned Officer ![]() | The system of examination in schools has been altered over the last 15 years or so to a style which favours girls. It was perceived that girls were lagging behind boys so teaching methods and exam questions were changed to a more girl friendly system. Exams became less important being replaced by course work which doesn't prove what you know but how well you and your mates have managed to co operate or how good your parents are at helping. Where exams are used the questions have become more touchy feely, so instead of explaining crop rotation, agricultural developments etc you would be asked how you as a peasant felt about the lord of the manor, historical information not really required. |
