WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said on Thursday both private investors and central bank were shifting away from the U.S. dollar and toward the euro.

Does that mean if no one buys our bonds then the gov can't borrow more money sending the debt even higher? Or is that a pipe dream.

No, it just means we'll write ourselve more IOUs into the trust funds.
